    Surgery is backwards...

SHOCK!:) My dn wouldn't do things like this. Just imagine giving an intelligent adult things like a copy of their blood test results!!!!! :)TBH I just don't hink that it would occur to her that I'd be interested. At least it's only 50p. I was expecting the receptionist to say that I...

    Surgery is backwards...

I've looked but I can't find anything that says that this is the case in Wales. England yes. Edited to say from My Health on Line. Nothing about test results. We are treated like morons over here. >Once you've created an account you will be able to use the features your GP practice has made...

    Surgery is backwards...

Don't be coming to Wales if you want your tests on line. All I can do on line is make appointments and order repeat prescriptions. I can get my test results (oh what a frosty voice I got from the receptionist when I asked) but I have to pay 50p per page for them

    Surgery is backwards...

Interestingly the same isn't true in the UK with vets. Even though I paid for their ex-rays I had a right fight to get hold of them. I was told that it was illegal to give me them and they could be struck off.

    Feeling confused.

Well done and congratulations to you that's a brilliant result. Edited to say I will never understand how someone thinks that they know what someone else will do. And I moan about my DN but once she saw that I was losing weight and feeling better she stopped the meds threat and was instead...

    Freestyle Libre calibration

Actually that happened to me when I went for my 2nd A1c (confirmation of diagnosis) Libre said 7.9 lab said 6.7. That's another + for me being able to scan just before having a blood test done. But every sensor I've had since has read lower than a finger prick and tbh they have all been...

    Freestyle Libre calibration

It's been brilliant for me. Once I got used to my readings being out. It's portability - the fact that I can scan 2 hours after eating whilst also out walking. When out for meals I scan when the food is on the table and I'm about to start eating. The ease of using it meant that I could see...

    Freestyle Libre calibration

Yes do contact them, I've found them very good. They want the old sensor back so that they can check it I suppose, it doesn't stop them sending another one.

    Freestyle Libre calibration

Yesterday mine was telling me that I was 2.4 or LO or 2.2 I'm a non medicating T2 and I wasn't exercising. 11.17pm 2.8 11.21 (finger prick) 5.7 11.40 2.7 Just as an example. The finger prick was done on the same meter/reader. However mine ALWAYS reads me mostly below 5 Generally in the 4's...

Feeling the need to moan !

    New but no support yet

I had false hypo's for a long time - years. I was a carb junkie so my life was spent with highs and lows. I either felt buzzing and a bit high and next thing wham I felt terrible, shaky, weak and my brain was screaming at me to eat something. I went up and down like that all the time that I...

    Taking control

    Lessons learned!

I have this. Then I read on the Abbott leaflet on 'how do a finger test' not to squeeze. Well how I'm supposed to get any blood out of my finger without squeezing is beyond me. Last time I tried I ended up with 5 ouchy finger pads, 1 you'll get nothing out of me side of finger and I don't...
