How to come off pump for holiday?

I've only recently got my pump. My DSN advised that if i was coming off my pump to calculate the previous days total insulin, add 20% then half it to get your levemir dose. Hope this helps

    Pump insurance

Afternoon all :) I now have a Medtronic Veo pump and I'm looking to get it insured. I was just wondering what companies you've all used for your insurance and your personal experience with any claims you've made? I have Google'd pump insurance nut there's a vast array of providers and quotes...

They haven't given me a reason or a choice @tim2000s I was told my clinic offered both animas and Medtronic, I was always leaning towards Medtronic but I thought it would've been the 640g with smart guard

    Pump trial

It's literally only been 4 weeks since my consultant said he would apply for funding. However, I'm really lucky in that someone else has dropped out of the trail and changed their mind about getting a pump so I now have their space. It's a Medtronic pump I have been given but it isn't the 640g...

    Pump trial

Thank you so much @vic hill. I'm really excited to get the real thing, cannot wait to be a pump user in a few weeks! I know it'll be a tricky few weeks until I get all my ratios correct and get used to the pump but I know it'll have a positive impact on my diabetes control :)

    Pump trial

Yes I imagine that it'll be very much like when you are first diagnosed and you think about testing an injecting constantly but then it becomes second nature. Well I haven't actually picked a pump yet, we've kind of skipped that step as this appointment is a cancellation. However, they're going...

T1 - drastically needing help with how to carb count and actually control my glucose levels

Hi @JacquiMorrison Your post really made me smile. I often used to compare my BG readings to those I seen on the forum and also wondered if they eat [emoji23] Now I'm following a low carb eating regime; no bread, pasta, potatoes, rice etc. No sweets or crisps, chocolate with only 70% cocoa...

Thank you for your reply @paulliljeros :) I'll have a look online for pumping insulin, seems like it'd be helpful in helping me choose which pump is best for me. I always take my meter to the appointments with me, that way my Clinic can upload all of my readings Is it pumping insulin by Ruth...
