    Lyumjev insulin and pumps

I’ve now been on Lyumjev for a good month now with Omnipod. My prescription has now actually been transferred to Lyumjev. On some occasions I get a mild stinging compared to Fiasp, but somehow find this reassuring that it’s working. For me I’ve actually increased my carb ratios slightly. If I...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I’m not a G7 user but use G6 with closed loop insulin pump. I have the same problems with new sensors. Add to that the pump reacts to high fake high readings and gives you more insulin and it’s fun & games!! The trick is as you already worked out is to calibrate every 15 mins but only correct...

    Fiasp vs Lyumjev

I’ve put a whole vial of Lyumjev through Omnipod now and literally pre-bolus as serving the meal. For me it’s working quicker than Fiasp and has taken off at least 2mmol from spikes in food. Porridge oats in the morning would normally hit 9.5 before dropping. Lyumjev flattens it at 7.5. I’ve...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi all better late than never a welcome 5.2 this morning. Getting on really well with this ultra-rapid insulin, although it’s quite nerve racking seeing a double arrow drop ( hold your breath time) see where it bottoms out at. That said I know what I’m doing [emoji106]

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all a nice 5.7 this morning. Even better still I have a trail of a new insulin for bolus before meals. Early days yet, but the response time is very fast. So far impressed. Like everything with diabetes it’s all a new learning curve again

    Lyumjev insulin and pumps

Well I’ve done a few bolus with Lyumjev in the Omnipod 5. It’s very early days so far, but I have noticed already a significant response time. Before I was actually using Fiasp and found a need to pre-bolus before a meal, but no more than 15 mins. This morning eating my exact breakfast...

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

It’s absolutely fine, as I’ve said many a time, being type2 must be frustrating. It’s taken me a long time to achieve this level of control and some days for no reason it will spike to 10, but as long as I don’t see a regular pattern I continue on as the previous day[emoji106][emoji106]

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I’d have a massive response if I didn’t take the correct amount of insulin. I did a DAFNE coarse and it taught me a great deal. I actually have a yogurt after another 15 carbs but it flattens the spike [emoji106]
