What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all a nice 5.7 this morning. Even better still I have a trail of a new insulin for bolus before meals. Early days yet, but the response time is very fast. So far impressed. Like everything with diabetes it’s all a new learning curve again

@MissMuffett I’d happily take your boys for a walk whenever you wanted, but I think I’m too far away. Is the Cinnamon Trust active in your area? They can pair you up with a helper on a temporary or a permanent basis.

Hi @Ladynijo you are so kind and thoughtful I live 20 miles south of Lincoln. I haven’t heard of the Cinnamon Trust so will google :)

Unfortunately I’m in West Sussex when I’m in the Uk - I travel for work - so I’m no use to you. I came across the Cinnamon Trust through one of the volunteers, a lovely lady who had no dog of her own but missed the company, & wanted to help someone else. She was paired up with a couple where they had both developed health problems which made walks difficult. They do short term respite dog walking as well, it just depends on where you are whether you can get a match. I think it’s such a good idea & i wish I had more time to pitch in. Maybe when I move. I love walking so that bit is no chore.

The coyotes were very vocal last night…another deer kill. It’s soon mating season and the noise…omg….it goes on all night! Those rascals.

Just love it when you mention your life in BC. I lived in Alberta with my sister and her family for a year, when I was 17. Yes I know its not BC but my sister did move to Vernon eventually which is BC, so I can claim a slight link. It's over 50 years ago and I still miss the country.

so happy with the dexcom7….works very well for me BUT….those alarms…you can’t turn certain ones off…even if you mute your phone. Always the middle of the night.
winter might be coming back…a chance of snow tonight but not much. Two weeks til Sri Lanka.

FBG 5.4 at 8am I thought it was going to be in the 6s as I ate late and didn’t get to sleep until 4:30. At one point I wondered if it was worth going to bed at all as the dogs would wake me at 7:30 ish :rolleyes: I suppose 3hrs sleep is better than no sleep!

Stuck in the stickies - not surprised. I was up every hour or so with a bladder telling me to relieve it. Serves me right for not intaking fluids yesterday during my volunteer shift, then trying to make up for it all evening.
