Greetings. Advice needed about blurry vision.

I figured out a trick with the recooked rice thing. Chilling cooked rice and recooking it turns it from high carb to resistant starch but it's often to much messing about for Mr lazy here so... I've started buying the rice you put in the microwave for two minutes. It's obviously cooked rice...

My GP does not take cholesterol tests for me

I think the doctor should be reported. The biggest killer in the western world for the last fifty years has been heart disease. Statins have been massively prescribed for forty years. After forty years the biggest killer in the west is heart disease. I'm in my seventies and don't take statins. I...

    Metformin is making me miserable

Caused me a lot of stomach upsets so I ditched it. I'm doing much better than those at my surgery who take it... some of them seem to get nothing more than we'll have to increase your medication. Quite a few years now since I took any diabetes medication. I've added more to my diet than I've...

Here's from freezing cold North Wales in the UK and the infection has gone! Numbers today have been around the 7 mark. The rest of the family still struggling with the bug and I put my early recovery down to two things... the pneumonia shot I had two years ago in place of the Covid shots and my...

    Empty Medicine Caps.

Simple idea wasn't sure I could purchase such a thing but Amazon to the rescue! Simple idea turned out to be a great idea for the convenience of taking my daily herbs and spices. Turmeric... so called golden tea is like drinking mud. Cayenne pepper... half a teaspoon blows your head off! There's...

    Chest infection

Blood glucose levels gone from an average of 7 to 8 throughout the day to an average of 15! Quite alarming but that's what infection does so I'm posting this in case anyone is worrying. Yeah bad news for your averages at the surgery that you've worked so hard on. This chest infection that's...

What's too high and when should you take action?

I had nerve damage a few years ago while I was a fairly new diabetic. It's been repaired since through diet. Nerves regrow or reroute when given the opportunity. The people I know with diabetes who tend to rely on industrial medications (prescription drugs) tens to never improve their long term...

    Eating in the right order?

But that's not how it works. The idea isn't to delay the carbs turning to glucose it's to slow it down so the glucose is created over a longer period of time therefore not spiking.
