Children with type 1 at school

Hi @C.Connolly, sorry to hear you are having these issues with the school. My daughter is also 5 (around 11 weeks since diagnosis) so she started Year 1 with Type 1. The school have been absolutely fantastic about this. She is allowed to eat snacks during class in front of all other children...

    The Ultimate....

Great write up @tim2000s. I'm really interested in all this technology as like you, I think the 'cure' is quite a way off :banghead::banghead: A non-invasive CGM with a low MARD would be absolutely fantastic. Maybe something like a plaster. I did hear once that Google amongst others are...

Fast forward 10 years to 2026 and could we see a device that combines a 100% accurate CGM, Tubeless Pump, AP Algorithm. Hi, I'm looking for some advice about my 5yo daughter who was diagnosed around 10 weeks ago. During the daytime, the BG levels are pretty good and tend to stay within 3-10 most days most of the time. However, recently the BG levels have started to rise around 7pm and keep rising up to around...

    Type 1 Carry Case

Thanks for all the suggestions. Went with the Joe's small in one case in the end. Couldn't be happier with it so far. Lets see if it lasts the test of time and being mishandled by my 5yo daughter!! Appreciate the help everyone :):)

    Type 1 Carry Case

Perfect. Thanks for the replies. I like the "Joes" case. Would be even better if it had a shoulder strap for when my daughter moves about between swimming, PE lessons etc. But I think we'll try it out.

    Type 1 Carry Case

Hi Everyone, Was wondering if anyone knows of a good carry case to use for all the Diabetic medications. We currently have one overall case, which contains a separate case for the insulin pen and a separate case for the glucose meter and test strips etc. It would be really good to have one...
