One Year On - Have Hope

100% Agree it's no coincidence the major Influx of T2 in the western World. I love data / tracking and would 100% pick something up to monitor myself if it didn't involve Glue Needles and lots of cash ha! It will come, 10 years ago who would have though we would be walking around with BP / HR...

    Blood sugars going up

Simply put, you came off the meds that were keeping your numbers low. 6.5 - 7.9 on its own doesn't give much info, before/after/fasting/after gym ect ect A little more info and people who are way more smarterer than me will have more info, but on the first impression less meds = higher blood...

    Bs numbers

Everyone reacts differently to to others, Kiwi is approx 10g carbs (6 of which pure sugars) , depends on what you were before you ate, what else you ate and total carb intake. You need pre meal measurement, 1hour post (no more than 2 rise) then 2 hours measurement. You can then assess what...

Disappointed in advice - Newly DX

Going on what you have said, Diet and Weight loss depending on your circumstances. I am predicted at HB1AC of 31 on my last 21 days and rember HB1AC is very biased towards the last four weeks, especially when you are starting the new diet/meds ect. As those high number blood cells at the end...

    Morning test

6.6 is higher than the normal range for non Diabetics, it really depends on what you are eating, meds and weight/lifestyle. You want to aim to be 3.9-5.4 for a normal FBG, but it depends what your 'normal is' so few more details and see what we can do to advise =D Excellent news on the...

    PostPrad Question

Pre Meal checks have been 4.3-4.8 for the last 6 weeks, before that I wasn't really sure what I was doing with timings and basics, but have had it dialled in since. I have not seen any +2 after the two hour marks , and the three +2 spikes at the one hour mark. all three of those where after...

    PostPrad Question

Yeah thats what I was basing my whole knowledge on, 2 hours post no change above +2 (Added in the UK numbers now keep forgetting to do that ha) I haven't had any post meal spikes after 2 hours above a change of 2. But had three (not bad in 9 weeks) that where a 2.2 and 2.4 change at 2 hours...

    PostPrad Question

So the guidelines from my doc have been test two hours post and use that to conform to baseline and food tolerance. From reading on here that should not be the advice to follow, and one hour and two hour should be used. So for a reading of 8.9/ 160 at the one hour that drops to 6.1 / 110 after...

Anyone else's symptoms coincide with recovery period ?

Hi, I cant comment on the med side of things as I haven't been put on them (hoping to avoid) But with the 101 score it would suggest your levels had been raised/raising for a while, so damage may have been happening already, damage done takes longer to be undone/heal/repair than it does to...
