    you can set it between 30mins and 24hrs there are also preset basal rates you can program, one for sick days, work days, days off, high activity etc

    when you do a TBR on the 640g a little T appears on the screen. The pump then alarms/vibrates/both to let you know it's finished you then just ok it and that's it. just like the combo

    you can do a bolus from the meter of however many units you like, it just doens't have the insulin bolus calculator on it..... YET! That has to be done from the pump. Say you test, fancy a snack, know how much insulin you will need, dial it up on meter and pump gives insulin.

    i have it, the pump is great. i don't use cgm. if you want cgm get the vibe as will work out cheaper. anyone wanting just a pump the 640g is amazing!

    I love when I go low carb it's great on my diabetes but I can't stick to it as I can't cook and don't like much food. I don't know what to do. Breakfast is the only meal I can low carb for then I never know what to have for lunch and what to take to work in the evening. I can't eat salad it...

    on my 2nd remote. sometimes I just give up and use my old one touch and use the bolus calculator app on my phone. still miss my animas..... one more year on this pump. pump is great if the remote was any good!

    low carb on insulin pump question

    Whenever I go low carb I find I need to really increase my basal insulin throughout the day by up to 0.3u per hour. Does anyone else find they have to do this?

    a good cereal is honey puffed oats. look in the gluten free aisle made by 'rude health' they contain only oats and honey. they are 18g carb for 17g bowl. they keep sugars really stable and taste nice too.

    I was on the Animas IR1200 for 5 years and have been on the Accu Chek for 2.5 long miserable years. Anyway.... on the Animas I had about 3 'gushers' and my sets never felt sore, I could bolus larger doses through it and the sets last 72hrs. I use the same sets with the Accu Chek 'Inset IIs'...

    Pump and hot weather = nightmare!

    Re: Pump and hot weather = nightmare! My Apidra is loosing it's potency after 2/3 days in this weather. I am not reusing a cartridge so long as the O rings are ok and filling to only 70u, enough to last 2 days, then putting in fresh insulin.

    How often do you change your needle?

    I have a pump but if I need to inject I use disposable syringes. I use a new one for each injection. Lancets.... I change once a day, if I remember :D
