    Cholesterol

My cholesterol went up when I first low carbed and ate very modest amounts of saturated fat. I brought it down by taking sterols and only eating 'healthy' fats, nuts, fish, avos, extra Virgin Olive oil etc. Very frustrating I love cheese, cream etc.!!

Digestive Enzymes: An Unexpected Diabetes Game Changer

Well the supplements have arrived!! I have to be honest and say we haven't tested but I do intend to start to see if I see a pattern, not going to carry on if no effect on my BG. My husband is taking them to as he had prediabetic BG reading some time ago. Although his last Hba1c was 32 but he...

Digestive Enzymes: An Unexpected Diabetes Game Changer

Sorry to ignore the recent posts, but just wanted to say that I have ordered two pots of the B vitamins as used by the OP and will be interested to see if it has similar results with my husband and I, who both have Prediabetes, although with low carbing we now have 'normal' blood sugar...

    Soya milk

I drink the supermarket own blend on its own as a hot drink or in cocoa with xyltol. But in coffee I much prefer the alpro fresh unsweetened. For tea I have the merest dash of ordinary milk. I don't find it affects my blood sugar at all and I have grown to like it.

    Need advice for preschool.

Agree with above, I worked in a nursery for 12 years and we all did regular paediatric first aid course, but they only touched on hypo symptons so I would not rely on this.

    Help!!!

I would ask your consultant why he has suggested you start taking Canagliflozin, there may be a good reason. From what you say it sounds unneccessary but there may be good reasons.

    Carbs for comfort

Nice hot mug of unsweetened soy milk with spoonful of xylitol, two bits of 90% chocolate, spoonful of peanut butter, bowl of home made broccolli soup, all hit the spot when I fancy some comfort food.

Well I don't run anymore, knackered joints, just walk! Before these higher reading I would get the odd 6 but not consistently high. With the fat I just don't know. I have had problems with earache for ages, I went to an ENT specialist last Tuesday who thought it was to do with my jaw, but my ear...
