    Do I need Medication?

Thanks. I am booked in at the drs for Tuesday. I haven't had any other illnesses recently. I think it is down to me getting back into a "comfort" eating zone as I had two years of Hba 1c's of 38 and 39 and basically forgot about diabetes. It has given me a kick up the backside though. This...

Hello all, been diabetic for about 3 years and controlled quite well through diet and exercise. However, started to feel quite unwell lately, weak, thirsty, bad numb spots in legs and feet, tingling. I bought some test strips and am getting a blood sugar reading of 10 in the morning before...

    Am I still Diabetic?

Thanks. So, my numbers are good, but does that mean I won't get any of the nasty stuff that comes as part of the package like neuropathy, muscle loss etc?

    Am I still Diabetic?

Hi, I was diagnosed in Jan of last year with a GTT of 13.2 and a HBA1C of 55. Since then I have started exercising a lot, but pretty much eat what I want except the obvious sweet stuff like cakes, sweets, biscuits, puddings etc. My random tests are always fine and my last 3 HBA1C tests have...

    Neuropathy of the feet

I have gone from a HBA1C of 55 at diagnosis a year ago to 41 three months ago to 39 on New Years Eve. I low carb and exercise a lot. My feet are getting worse and my Dr says the damage there now will be there forever and that basically things will get worse with time as diabetes is progressive...

    Neuropathy of the feet

I'm type 2 and very well controlled without drugs. Hba1c of 39. My dr suspects neuropathy in my feet and siad in some cases it just happens no matter how well controlled you are. I guess some cases are down to the luck of the draw.

My last chol reading was 5.2 and my Dr was well pleased with it. I am hoping I can shave another few digits off my latest Hba1c of 41 with a bit more weight loss.

    2nd HBA1C

I went to see my GP and he was very pleased with me. No need for diabetic meds and he is looking to take me off my low dose statin soon. He said I am now a diabetic with a none diabetic profile as everything came back normal and to carry on with what i have been doing for the last 90 days as...

    2nd HBA1C

The only meds I take right now are statins. I have reduced my HBA1C by 14 points in 90 days by diet and exercise. My weight is at a healthy level too. I can tolerate some carbs each day. Brown rice, small amount of potatoes or one slice of Bergen bread do not spike me, so I eat them. I guess...
