    Petition for David Clapson enquiry

I had signed this a while ago and shared on social media for others to sign. We are just over two weeks away from a General Election, please take some time to write to all of the candidates in your constituency about this. Quote from the wording on the change.org page or indeed just copy the...

I had a leg doppler and now scared

I have an Epsom salt bath once a week which is said to increase magnesium levels. Runners apparently use these baths to prevent cramps. (Not that I am a runner!).

What should be free on the NHS?

I believe the NHS should be free and the appropriate treatment should be available to all patients. What I do not agree with is companies and individuals making huge profits from NHS services. Interesting that you mention pension costs being higher than NHS costs. Our current government...

    sweet potatoes..

@kazlincs & @rowan, I marinate the celeriac 'chips' first. Oil base with whatever flavourings, I like a curry/spicy flavour, so a few tbs of curry powder or curry mixture of spices into the oil. Let the celeriac chips marinate, mix every so often. I bake rather than fry. That may make a difference.

Will try the kale crisps, but trying to keep kale in my fridge is almost impossible. My son makes kale and orange nutriblasts daily.

    What have you eaten today?

Celeriac spaghetti does sound good, especially teamed with pesto, I thing that is a winning combination. The celeriac will add a bit of bulk/substance to counteract the absence of potatoes or broad beans. AD, I loved any kind of pasta Genovese. I may buy one of those sprializer thingies and...

How about parmesan crisps? Heaped tablespoons of finely grated parmesan cheese onto a sheet of baking parchment, about a couple of cm apart. Flatten slightly with the back of the tablespoon. Bake for 3-5 minutes, keep an eye on them, you will know when they are done.

    What have you eaten today?

Late breakfast due to night shift, poached eggs on spinach. Just made a veg curry using cauliflower, courgettes, brussel sprouts and spinach. I keep organic lemons frozen and will grate some into the curry when I reheat it. I will likely make some soup for my son and may have a bowl for supper...

@Kelsey140197, I hope this works, a link to the low carb recipe thread http://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/post-your-recipes-here.2856/page-17#post-832623. A google search will bring up some recipes but check the amount of carbs, we all have differing definitions of what low carb is. Also we...

    Low carb packed lunches

Little mini frittatas baked in muffin trays are great. Oil the tray, place a small amount of allowable veg, asparagus, cauli, broccoli etc, add some cheese of your choice, you can make a tray of different ones, pour beaten eggs over and bake till set. They keep well in the fridge and go great in...
