More than 260,000 diabetes inpatients had hospital medication errors in 2017

I am wondering if they did an Internal Audit and found cases where they should have given medicine when they didn't and vice-versa and it came to that number, it's a lot of patients to be making errors with, and that's only diabetics

Ah insurance... one of lifes greatest pains for a diabetic. I understand.. I have recently purchased a home and decided to take out life insurance, which is double the price of my partner, which is fair enough I guess, I have a chronic condition. What I don't get is the critical illness cover...

    Most annoying things about Diabetes

The human body is a very strange thing indeed! I would say i'm still fit and healthy, I just don't feel alive as I used too! I have noticed that, other than the odd cold I haven't been seriously ill except for a bout of gastrointeritus in 2016, I get ill less now though than before I was...

What is the best result you obtained quickly A1c

Hello again. Instead of eating normal carbohydrates, I now only eat wholemeal or refined such as wholemeal rice bread pasta etc, and for cereal shredded wheat and bran flakes. These are so my blood sugars rise slower than other carbs. I have cut my carb intake by 3/4 but the carbs I do eat are...

Type 1 Injecting in to tattooed skin

Not sure about the scientifics behind that image except it is from BD microfine website, however, I believe using a bit of metal 0.23mm wide more than 3 times stuck into skin membrane will definitely blunt it. If you want a more reliable source on the effects of reusing needles, you can read...

    Most annoying things about Diabetes

Great points so far, I personally hate how I feel now, I know before I got diabetes, even when I was 14, I felt great, I felt fine when I was in the honeymood period, when that ended and I had to start controlling it myself with more artificial insulin, I started realising how degenerative...
