I ate a chip! and I made cookies!

Mentioned that to my partner, she waggled her eyebrows and moved towards the bedroom.. Ooer!

I ate a chip! and I made cookies!

I find 99.9% of all presenters, be they youtube or television, utterly banal. I can’t cope with the chatter for the sake of chatter. And don’t get me started on sports commentators or pundits being paid vast sums to tell me stuff I can see with my own eyes!. Grrrrrrrrr!

    Absolutely.

Well these aren’t very sweet. I can taste almond (the only nut I can cope with in any form) in the flour, I get vanilla and I get that vaguely baked taste. For a first attempt I’d give myself a 7/10. Next time I might throw in some unsweetened cocoa to see what that does. Or try another recipe.

Thank you. It was a very dreary day and I thought that if I didn’t do it then I might not do it all, just put it off again. I get very rare interludes with minimal pain and a bit of energy so have to do it when I can.

Oh I’m eating them. They’re actually not too bad at all, crunchy outside and soft in th3 centre. Yeah I’ve tried erith thingy, not my favourite at all so we just threw in a sweetener we had in the cupboard. The video used erith thingy as well. I just think our measurement was a bit low.

Eventually we found a Pyrex mug thing that had cup sizes on it so we used that but it didn’t look like the amount she used. Oh well. I’m masking how I’m really feeling as it’s been a very tough week but just had half an hour of energy to expend on attempting something different.

I ate a chip! and I made cookies!

Yes, I know, it’s me we are talking about. We went out, had @ bite to eat. Partner wasn’t impressed by her chips so asked me to try one (first potato in 6 weeks) and yeah, awful. And it was grey! A grey chip, a bit like cardboard. Can safely say that it didn’t make me desire a big bowl of...

    2018/19 Football Season

Two sent off, 22% possession and a 2-0 defeat. Another day in the life of Bolton Wanderers!. And they still haven’t been paid. This week is crunch week. Either get taken over or go into administration. We are already 7 points from safety, have only won 2 in 24 and really don’t look like we...

I have given up with food!.

I made cookies yesterday. Low carb ones. They taste funny but, you know, okay. I got confused though and my partner kept interfering which only confused me more. Sometimes more of a hindrance than a help. It was from a youtube video. Pity they kept changing the camera angles in it so it was...

Thanks. Swansea away. Players mood might be ...distracted as they still haven’t been paid.

Stress - can’t get sugars down

Right, let’s start off by saying you are not a “total loser of an idiot”! You made a mistake. That’s it, plain and simple. You weren’t trying to be clever or showing off. It happened and you can’t turn the clock back. Stress has a horrid effect on blood sugar but worrying about when it might...

More statin hilarity before shock and horror

Shouldn’t really expect them to look at side effects should we ? (Says he with tongue firmly planted in cheek) My doctor never mentions side effects other than “it might make you a bit drowsy” and on every medication I take it appears they just give you the same list anyway. I might even...

    newly diagnosed- advice please

I don’t drink at all, never have, but has anyone ever seen what difference the non-alcoholic lagers make to fasting blood sugar when set against the “real deal” ?

    Hi all fellow suger dodgers

We all have blips. I ate a chip yesterday, had a dozen grapes and two satsumas. Not the best for me perhaps but a bit of variety and, given I didn’t eat a whole lot else, not doing anything too terrible. Changing a lifestyle takes work. It’s hard to drop old habits overnight and go cold...

    2018/19 Football Season

Same old story with that calamity of a club. Starting to wish for administration. Points deduction would relegate us already and we could move on. Whole things a farce.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hilariously my first test this morning was 16.7!.. After I had picked myself up the floor and said rude words to that particular strip I tested twice more and was 5.2! I hate the occasional rogue strip that gives you a “What?!?!?” moment.

    2018/19 Football Season

Players and staff not paid on time again! I know the clubs up for sale and there are interested parties but this just isn’t the way to go about conducting yourself. So fed up with BWFC being in the news for all the wrong reasons.

    LCHF and Statins

I know I have had issues with high cholesterol and my last reading wasn't exactly great. I take that, my diabetic meds, Vitamin B, IBS stuff, gabapentin for my Fibromyalgia, Allopurinol for gout...the list goes on.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

4.7 Thought it would be higher due to feeling under the weather but if it’s not, it’s not. Forgot to add- if your levels lower than you hoped or as you hoped you’re all winners! In fact everyone’s a winner who posts in this thread as we all live with and deal with what life’s given us! Keep...
