Realised there’s nothing I enjoy eating..

I’d wondered if this day would come and it seems it has. If I ignore taste buds that seem “off” (May or may not be down to one/several/all of the seven different meds I take) I realised today that food has simply lost its allure. Salad I had for lunch went, partially eaten, into the bin. Came...

    Metformin raised hbca1 to 90

In my view its all down to diet. I have been on Metformin for years and any changes in my HbA1c have been down to what I have eaten over a period of time rather than the drug. That has been the constant in my life whilst my diet has varied according to mood and err...common sense being applied...

    Work Related Stress sickness absent

As someone diagnosed with anxiety disorder, Dysthymia, is Autistic and has suicidal ideation, yes I would certainly say stress plays a huge role in my readings. I can actually feel the tension leading to a higher result so have to try, as hard as I can, to stay totally calm leading up and...

    Annual Review

That 4.5 sounds a little high to me. But standards are just that, an expectation, and there can be a number of factors involved in numbers going up or down. I know people will disagree with me about that and it’s fine but we can get very hung up on the numbers at times. Can you request another...

    Very low blood sugar reading

No, I had my monitor as a Christmas present. Was never mentioned by GP or Nurse as to whether I should or shouldn’t. Lots of things I wasn’t told and. Think many of us can say the same.

No worries. Tried it once, several years ago, had a horrible experience with it. A short lived experiment shall we say ?

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.1 this morning. And considering how stressed I feel after overnight news that’s perfectly acceptable.

    Very low blood sugar reading

It’s been two days. I am fine. This morning I was 5.1. And that’s after the shocking news that my stepson and daughter in law have been in a very serious car accident overnight.

It’s about understanding and most don’t. It’s also my inability to articulate what I need, because I don’t know.

Ah, talking. Been to that well on so many occasions. Nobody really listens and because there are no Autism trained counsellors around here those I sorak to don’t get me. I will talk to my doctor..though it’s not one I’ve seen before, when I go in on the 11th for my medication review.

Absolutely. We try and eat at about the same time each day. My better half’s spontaneous decisions to change her eating times are very disconcerting!.
