I don't really understand your train of thought...... Have you done DAFNE or anything similar? From previous days, basal tests overnight have resulted in a dose which @evej could conclude is pretty much spot on.... so the next step is during the day, which includes several chunks of time...

You can get a pump if you are having too many hypos and have maybe lost hypo symptoms and the dawn phenomenon is a factor too.....that was my reason for getting one.... is 7 too high, yes, is it really bad, no.......the recommendation is 6.5% and below I believe.....[I'm so glad someone else is...

I think that the recommended HbA1c is 8 and above.....but there are other ways to qualify, its not limited to just HbA1c level....

Well, I am still waiting from September 2017 for my clinic appointment, reschedules and sick consultant has been the reasons so far.....there has been some really good spells in this time too......when I do eventually go I will no doubt have just been through a bad spell.....LOL...

I suppose it all depends on the patient and their level of success and the effort put in........more regular trips to clinic would certainly keep the motivation up, if motivation was an issue for the patient that is...... ;)

You're right it was a drop by 3.6 and not to 3.6, apologies..... a drop of 3.6mmol during a basal test does warrant adjustment though..... we know that injections isn't going to be able to satisfy the whole day or night, but you need to establish a base line, and the basal is most important...

The most ideal frequency would be every three months I suppose, as that's what the test measures..... I don't actually know if longer intervals means poorer control.....as you wont actually know what the control is.....;) a regular HbA1c wont actually mean good control I would of...

The process for my basal testing is to find the dose that holds you steady within plus or minus 2mmol......trial and error..... I agree that the drop that @evej had from 12pm till 2:15pm may be down to something else, hence why the test should be repeated at the 14 units, before any reduction...

The main ingredients is the cauliflower base, which will have some of the carbs, but you would expect to see a small effect from that I think..... Next up is the faba bean flower....no idea if that carby or not...... I would say its worth a shot to see what happens.....
