    Type 2 Confused

Nevertheless, most doctors consider any fasting blood sugar below 100 mg/dl (5.6 mmol/L) as completely normal Most normal people are under 100 mg/dl (5.5 mmol/L) two hours after eating. So that´s why my target is under 5.7 before meal. I want to imitate as near as possible the healthy people...

It is not problem to bring it down, but to stay there :-) I found my carbs tolerance level by home made ogtt test wit 20g of carbs - with usage of...

Type 2 Physical work and BG levels

To be honest, I don't know what you should do. I know that physical work elevates my BG and 2 hours after I stop the activity it goes down. Sorry.

Weight lifting is elevating the BG mainly, as I see it.

    TERRIFIED T2

I would just argue that diabetes II is complex function of 5 variables: liver, pancreas, muscle mass, visceral fat and insulin resistance. But yes, main cause is insulin resistance combined with limited pancreas work.

    Type 2 Confused

I think, that your priority should be to bring "starting" BG under 5.7. After that you can experiment. Just my tip for priorities. What is your BG before sleep?

    High bg spike confusion

Agreed - With typical meal I have spike around 1h after it. So I measure 3x one meal: before, 1h after and two hours after. Normally I go 30 m after each meal for 1km (12 minutes) walk to prevent over 7.7 spike.

    High bg spike confusion

If the "spike" is max 7.7 and will not last for more than 2 hours, it will be OK. see http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/16422495.php

    Your thoughts would be appreciated

Diabetes II type is roughly about liver, pancreas, muscle mass, visceral fat mass and insulin resistance, thus 5 variables. As you can see, it is very complicated function. So the answer is: weight is only one of the parameters. See the @daisy1 information pack, read this forum and start to...
