    Boring!

Ickihun - be careful. Tramadol can be very addictive. Stay safe.

    Oomi noodles

I've just had some for lunch - yummy. If you get the chance, keep an eye open for 'em in Holland & Barrett - sometimes they are on the second item for a penny offer. That's when I stock up on them.

Diet ‘reverses diabetes in just 10 weeks’, claims new study

Yeah - carbs are good for you, fat is bad and there's no such thing as global warming. Jeez.

    Fat versus calories and carbohydrates

Can I come round for tea one day?

    New here and Scared

Make sure you only have about 3 or 4 strawberries though - I could happily eat a whole punnet if I wasn't so self-disciplined (!).....but after a time on LCHF, you will find your desire for sweet things should massively reduce, so 3 strawberries is actually enough.

    Every Lidl helps ...

Strangely, I don't find that to be true....I used to eat loads of bread, but on "D-Day" I stopped dead. Since had the Lidl rolls, but don't find myself compelled to eat them to excess - usually have 1 a week. I just find they make a very pleasant addition to my usual LCHF diet - very good with...

    Every Lidl helps ...

Yes I agree - they don't seem to know how important these things are to us.....maybe they could do with a bit of discrete advice? They could certainly market them in a more focused way - but they would have to make more to ensure that they didn't run out before I got there....:hungry:

    Diagnosed today

Not uncommon. If it doesn't get any better, ask your GP for the slow-release version. And welcome, Tashaprince. Have a good look round the forum - many on here (including myself) have managed to remain drug-free by adopting the LCHF diet regime.

BBC1 EastEnders - Type 2 Diabetes story line?

Anyway, what's the betting that Ian Beale will end up on "insulin" and have a couple of dramatic hypo-type episodes but he will just eat his weetabix and everything will be OK 2 weeks later. Just remembered about Tracy Barlow's 1994 kidney transplant - ain't science wonderful!

BBC1 EastEnders - Type 2 Diabetes story line?

    1. Corrie. 2. Crossroads - from beyond the grave - the original "wobbly wall" soap - it was about a motel in"Kings Oak" supposedly near Brum. For a laugh, Google "Miss Diane", "Benny" and "Meg Richardson". You'll never be the same again. PS - I forgot "David Hunter". "Benny" was the prototype...

    Bringing Extinct Animals Back

My Mom suffered very badly with psoriasis - there's some really dramatic treatments available now, but I saw how she suffered with this. A terrible disease.

What makes you think they haven't? It's doable. And if it's doable, someone's dunnit. Dead cert.

BBC1 EastEnders - Type 2 Diabetes story line?

My own favorite was Boon. Firemen, canal boats, motorbikes and Brummies. Reality in a nutshell. What was not to like? That was literally my life for 4 years - spookily close to home.

BBC1 EastEnders - Type 2 Diabetes story line?

Strange you should say that- I just yearn for a simpler time, with no bloody silly subplots that never go anywhere - I mean Weatherfield a hotbed of cocaine dealing??? Do me a favour, it was more exciting when Norris underordered the Weatherfield Gazzette....and what was that business with...

The Kyle Files - Obesity (on now ITV)

Yes, but what did it say? Was there a message? Was it just a "fatbasher"? Didn't see it so is it worth going to "catch-up"?

BBC1 EastEnders - Type 2 Diabetes story line?

Unfortunately, zzzzzzzzzz. This will, no doubt, turn out to be yet another case where the protagonist contracts a serious disease/condition, the story line is milked and then is miraculously ignored...remember Mark Fowler with "TV AIDS", Jim Macdonald with his amazing self-healing broken back...
