    That pit of despair is something you can't understand if you haven't been there. However amazing your loved ones are it doesn't stop you wanting to opt out. It is a very long & hard road to recovery. Fighting is exhausting & painful & many areas have insufficient mental health provision. xx

    Ps. try looking at dbt self help website & try the mindfulness exercises, but don't beat yourself up if your concentration lapses because everyones does, but it may just help you be in the moment (engaged with your activity at that point) xxx

    I think this is more about depression than type 1 diabetes & its about making the best of how you are feeling at the time. It ISN'T easy & nobody wakes up thinking "I am going to act depressed today", its an illness like any other, unfortunately it is misunderstood by many people.Keep on...

    needle length

    Hi Have always used 8mm, but chemist now saying 4mm is only option even though my gp says the smaller needle could affect how well the insulin enters my system.
