I stopped the metformin one of the reasons being it didn't help me lose weight. As to the sandwich I find if I eat so much as a tea biscuit my sugar rockets now and it is not a good feeling it makes me crave carbs!

Illness will put your BS up unfortunately. I stopped taking metformin altogether as I was so ill on it and found that it didn't make any difference to my blood sugars or help me lose weight/not put it on. Perhaps you should have the test in may then deal with the review and see what the results...

I was forced to take the True You meter by my GP and I found it to be such a nuisance. Kept losing all the readings putting wrong dates in and I couldn't set meal markers or anything when just taken a reading. I went back to my countour next USB and now have the next one, brilliant meter btw...

Should be fine. When I was pregnant before I was diagnosed, I refused point blank to go through the X-ray scanners. I got a body search (not invasive) instead. Don't know what the doctors advise now though so I would check. Enjoy yourself though.
7.3 this morning which was kind of expected as I had a couple of hypos yesterday for no apparent reason and probably overcompensated on the carbs. Feeling better now. 5.1 after breakfast.
