Hi So I went to my Dr to ask about the liquid/shake diet that can be prescribed on the NHS as highlighted in the News. 1, He said he knows nothing about it and I was talking rubbish 2, He took by blood sugar it was 14.9 he said "he has seen higher" Does this one just not care any more? Surely...

Hi, Is it OK to fast all day and then have an evening meal. I am type 2 on 1500mg metformin a day. Some people say its ok and some say no. What is the general opinion here?

I have freezing feet. A lot of the time freezing hands too. My hands never used to be cold but these days are bad. Last night I slept outside the cover apart from my feet but they never got warm at all.

Hi, I have a small but very leaky sore on my groin area next to my leg. Is this diabetes related and what should I do about this if it is? Some times it looks like it is leaking a green snot. I am just a bit worried as I have never had anything like this before in this area. Thanks

I am on Duloxatine and going really well on 120mg per day. THis is weight neutral so I have lost nearly 2 stone whilst on it and dieting. On Mirt I put on 3 stone even though I was following slimming world. Good Luck

Reduce the dose as it is awesful to come off of, side effects are terrible, but reducing gives a slightly better experience.

I go at least one time a night.

original when diagnosed 3 months ago 111 3 month blood test 45. on Metformin 500mg 3 times a day.

8.7 today rised to 13 after weetabix.

I can't remember about 17 I think at one point on a friends tester I was 32.5 before going to the Drs.

I also forgot to mention I have had 3 urine infections in the space of 3 months is the OK or is it unusual??
