    LADA

It’s worth asking I’m hoping to get the libre but was advised that some areas expect to see recording of at least 8 tests a day minimum (not a problem for me really!)

    Wake up call...

I feel your pain with the virus side of things, although I’m not type 2 my levels have been really erratic and a lot higher than usual. Resulted in a trip to the hospital. How many times a day have you been testing? Might be worth getting in touch with a HCP I would if that was my reading...

    Frustrating levels

That makes sense thank you, I wondered why nothing was happening I’ll keep that in mind! If I’m not feeling any better and continuing to rise I’ll get some advice :)

    Frustrating levels

My meter seems to be ok, I have a spare or I could change the battery and see if that makes a difference? I have felt really off and unwell and I think that’s might be linked to being unwell and also to the higher levels. I checked for ketones yesterday and they were 0.1 but fell to 0 after...

    Frustrating levels

Hello all hope you have had a good Christmas and looking forward to a great new year. I’m a bit frustrated with my levels they seem to be all over the place at the moment, today for example struggling to get anywhere below 10. Highest has been 16.7 over the last couple of days. I’d say it’s...

    Sound familiar to anyone

I felt a little bit of relief to see your post as I’ve had something similar happen to me over the last few days - been very unwell and obviously Christmas has it’s part to play. I’m hoping being back on track food wise and starting to come to the end of the illness will make a difference :)

    LADA

Hello I was diagnosed LADA also in July this year. I used humalog as my fast acting and inject 15 mins before food and always at the table if I am out as this can be done discreetly :) If there’s anything you’d like to talk about always happy to chat :)

    Glucose monitor

I was given the freestyle optium neo which takes both normal and ketone strips really like it, it’s compact and does the job [emoji4]

    Moving Areas and NHS Trusts

Hello there! I moved from Hampshire to Kent I’m glad to hear you had a good experience with your health team there. I had a pretty ****** experience as was misdiagnosed until moving to Kent and being told I’m actually type 1 despite being horrendously ill in the process for 2 years..... I...

    Struggling with loooow

I check my levels when I wake up, 2 hrs after breakfast, at lunch, 2 hours after lunch, dinner and then at bed time currently. Record everything in a diary. I don’t split my background insulin I did speak to the nurse about this but it’s not advised with abasaglar

    Struggling with loooow

Yes I am on insulin. I’ve found when I’m at work I’m experiencing lower levels. I’m currently trying to work out the doses if I’m honest as I only started on insulin in July and it’s been a bit of a roller coaster. I’m fairly consistent with the things that I’m eating to be honest especially...

    Type 1 Work issue

That’s pretty shocking I’m very lucky with my colleagues and work, I do test and inject at my desk and have had to explain to chairs of meetings why I have my test kit with me if it’s a particularly long meeting. I found that having occupational health on board to help with reasonable...

I feel your pain! Went through something similar myself after finally being given an answer. It’s frustrating but be persistent until you get your answers :)
