    Troubles with LCHF

I've just fallen of the LCHF wagon again by indulging on a italian bmt sub at subway :(. I feel like doing this to myself :banghead::banghead::banghead: as I really want to stick to the diet, but i'm finding it extremely difficult to give up carbs as everywhere I go I see carbs and more carbs...

    Troubles with LCHF

I do have sparkling water with a slice of citrus fruit, but am thinking of trying tesco's red berries tea with sparkling water. I only like red wine in bolognese that my mum cooks to perfection, but I do like whisky:) and I'm not giving up alcohol completely, its just that I need to save money.

    Troubles with LCHF

OK, I love salt but I've avoided it since being diagnosed 2 years ago. Is their a limit as to how much salt i should have as I do not want my blood pressure to sky rocket. Also I would just like to say that I have had no alcohol since November 1st nor diet coke since November 6th. Going cold...

    Troubles with LCHF

I thought that salt is bad for blood pressure so I've stayed away from it, plus i believed that 5 litres of water was good. I do admit that I gulp instead of just sipping and that is why I drink so much water and other beverages.

    Troubles with LCHF

I already drink too much water (5 litres or more) as it stands as I tend to avoid tea and coffee. I think my problem is that I always have money or my cards on me where ever I go and if I can do without them for a week by losing them, I think that might help me and I might do it when I next do...

    Troubles with LCHF

I am only 2 days into LCHF and I've already failed massively :( I don't know about anyone else but my blood sugar levels rose up into the teens and considering what I have read about LCHF, my levels should have been low. I've done my research on LCHF and I still cannot over come the cravings for...

    GP has prescribed me Lixisenatide

Zand, I tend to snack alot and that is my downfall unfortunately :( . I have had counselling from the uni for bereavement as I recently went to my aunts funeral earlier this month and the counsellor was really supportive, he suggested that I should try meditation (medit-ate diet as he calls it)...

    GP has prescribed me Lixisenatide

I have had a massive carb overload. I just tested my blood sugars this morning and they were 23,6 this morning which I knew it would be. I have only had 2 tomato's today and my blood sugar has dropped to 20.2 at 11am and 16.5 at 1:20pm after taking my meds apart from the lyxumia as my gp...

    GP has prescribed me Lixisenatide

Hi all, I've just been prescribed Lixisenatide by my doctor as I am now over 25 stone and has said that the next treatment afterwards would be gastric band or bypass if i don't lose any weight and I haven't had any luck finding the side of effects of the injection. But my hba1c has dropped down...

    Gym Instructor and Diet

My instructor advises that amount of carbs when I've been at the gym regularly for 6 months, but for now it will be around 120 grams of carbs. Also I did get hospitalized twice from alcohol related incidents that raised my Bg levels to a significant amount. As for my medication, I am on...

    Gym Instructor and Diet

I cannot change instructors jack412 as he is the only diabetic gym instructor who was type 2 until he lost quite a huge amount of fat. Also he reccommends that I should stay away from fatty foods as I did a cholesterol check and mine has sky-rocketed up since I had it last checked. I can still...

    Gym Instructor and Diet

I recently joined the gym and will be doing a one hour workout in the morning between 9 and 11 am and maybe another hour in late afternoon/early evening. I also have a personal gym instructor who has now given me a diet sheet that goes against my current diet (LCHF) as it says that I should eat...

    Low Carb Budget

This may seem strange, but i was browsing through Tesco online having a look at the drinks and came across fruit & herbal tea. Then it just popped into my head 'why not try sparkling water and ice with fruit tea'.

    Low Carb Budget

Hi Lesleywo, i've not been to the gym before and I don't have a clue on what I should eat before or after a workout. Also I am Type 2, weight just under 25 stone and need to lose about half my weight as my BMI is over 50. As for my shopping list. I have got rid of the pork pies, cola, nuts and...

    Low Carb Budget

I can all see your concerns about the pork pies, nuts, and diet cola. I forgot to mention that I will be having Tesco Choco Snaps for cereal as it is the lowest carb cereal with 22 grams of carbs, whereas oats, museli and granola are all above 30 grams. As for yoghurts I cannot handle the taste...

    Low Carb Budget

Hi Guys, I am now in my final year at uni and this time I am not going to end up in hospital again in October, like I have done for the past two years. I've joined the uni gym and now have myself a personal instructor for the whole year :) I have planned a LCHF budget of £25 per week at a Tesco...

Diabetic Low Carber's I need your advice

I have fallen of the LCHF diet after having to stay in hospital for a month, due to a car accident that happened me to just after the beginning of August and during my time I've had nothing but carbs. Now I'm finding it a struggle to get back on the LCHF diet and on top of that I'm going to back...
