    LO came home from grandma's with a BG of 16.9, gave a correction dose 4.15pm, then she had tea just over an hour later which I bolused for as usual forgetting to use the calculator to account for insulin on board. Presumably I need to be alert for a hypo now? How bad is this likely to be...

    Poor kid is really feeling it [emoji17] probably shouldn't have give a correction an hour before tea was due but she's crying and miserable I couldn't leave her. This kind of thing is so frustrating, it makes me not want to leave her with anyone but I need some time to myself too :/

    Sounds like the teacher needs some education about hypos, I'd be furious if they had done this to my daughter! Maybe ask the diabetes support nurse to have a word with the school?

    Quick breakfasts are simple, scrambled eggs with butter and cream, bacon. For a quick lunch I like a 'cheesewich' which is 2 slices of edam cheese, buttered and ham in the middle :) fathead pizza is awesome cold the next day too! It's just about a new routine, you'll soon find meals that work...
