    Night time basal/DP

This was last night but woke to correct around 5am and had a lie in. I might try and increase by 2u tonight. It just seems an awful lot in comparison to my daytime dose but hey I'll try anything! Thanks for your replies.

    Night time basal/DP

Yeah that scares me so each time I ring my dsn to discuss it she tells me to go up another 2u. I'm scared to go up anymore. I've my consultant app on Tues I'll see what he advises but looks like it'll just be early starts for me unless I get the pump. I love my sleep is the problem lol [emoji23]

    Night time basal/DP

I go to bed at around 7-7.5mmols and my DP starts around 3am and I wake up 14-18mmols. Now my DSN just tells me to increase my night time basal. Over the past 12 months it's gone from 16u to now 24u of levimer. I only take 6u in the morning. I feel compared to my morning dose this is a massive...

    Mistaken diagnosis

Surely he would have been having his hbA1c checked quite a bit during this 30 years and people other than the consultant would have had access to that? I can't understand how a non diabetic with a functioning pancreas could survive with two sources of insulin?

    Type 1 Insulin injections?

I find this too! Not every injection but the odd one as soon as the needle touches my skin the pain is shocking..almost like I touched a nerve..and like you I move the needle to another spot maybe a few times before I find a place that doesn't hurt! It happens me maybe once in every 10 injections.

    Waiting time for pump

It might not be mentioned but I like to have an idea just incase. My anxiety likes to be prepared lol. We are hoping to apply for adoption this year and need my hbA1c lower so was wondering if it would maybe delay the adoption process but I guess I'll know more on Tues [emoji4]

    Access to blood results

That's what I thought. She could be mistaken as after asking me if I was type 1 or 2 told me I should look into the '800 cal' diet as it's known to cure type 1 [emoji4] I just just smiled and nodded as was in a rush xx @GrantGam1337

    Access to blood results

I'm a nurse in a nursing home and all our residents results are available next day or 2 days at latest [emoji4] Also my own personal bloods tests I've been told to ring in 2 days for the results. That's what I based my time frame on [emoji4]

    Bolus for drinks

Hi @nessa1970 [emoji4]sorry to hear you're having such a bad time with cravings. I'd definitely bolus for the coke. Coke Zero tastes very similar but without that carbs you could try it? Xx

    New Year Resolutions!

I drew this up tonight at my hubby's suggestion! 300 boxes to represent the 300 miles I'm going to walk! Now bearing in mind I'm a lazy so and so who has only recently started to exercise so this will be great motivation for me as hubby's promised a night away when I complete it!

    Diabetic Daisy

Hi @kimrooney89 I can totally empathise. I'm diagnosed 6 years now my last hbA1c was 9.2% for 5 of those years i was in denial. I sort of guessed my way around things. Ate too much. Didn't take my insulin at times. This year though I think I've finally accepted my diagnosis. With that I've been...

    Diabetic Daisy

Hi Daisy! So pleased to read your story! I've only been diagnosed 6.5 years. I'm 33. I think I'm really only starting to accept it this past 6 months. If I'm honest I'm really struggling. My last hbA1c was 9.2% and I self fund the libre and am desperately trying to get better control but it's...
