He came along to one but he is a teacher and therefore can't always get to them... might arrange my next one for school holidays. Very good idea @noblehead x Sent from my SM-G920F using Diabetes.co.uk Forum mobile app

    BF 'forgets' I am diabetic

Hiya I have deleted several drafts of this thread because they are a little whiny. So here is the simplified version... Anyone else struggle with disinterested (probably a bit too strong a word) partners? Or anyone have any tips that can help me try and drip feed him info? He loves me and...

    Slimming World Hypos

Hi @xamyrushton I used to do Slimming World and never used to syn hypos however I did used to find myself having quite a few as my insulin regime needed adjusting with my weight loss and diet change. But it never hurt to keep a supply of Muller Light yoghurt in the fridge as they are free on...

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

Sounds like the general consensus is they are brilliant and to get one. Since I'm not fully committed to it yet I'll just use the phone app for the first sensor (my phone thankfully does have NFC) then if I am happy purchase a reader too... Unless South Tyneside CCG has trials and I can get one...

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

Oooo I did not know this is just thought it was a solid "no" across the board. I think I will drop her a line today. Fingers crossed! xoxox

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

Thanks for all of the replies. Its really appreciated! I spoke with my DNS about it today and she actually seemed quite open about it. She just suggested I use it more for viewing trends rather than using the data. This takes me to my next question... obviously there is a delay and discrepancy...

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

This was going to be my next question. Would I need to buy a reader or can I just use my Samsung phone. Good to know. Thanks @staffsmatt

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

She is not T1, however my GP and she is pretty darn sympathetic. That could be an idea, maybe just use one every few weeks to reassess? xoxox

    Is Libre a Good Idea?

Morning Sorry to add yet another thread about the Libre system... I am debating getting a Libre for a couple of reasons. First - I still have the age old problem of feeling more tired on waking after what I thought was a decent nights sleep. I have tried doing tests through the night but they...

Poll: Which diabetes course(s) have you attended?

DAISY Course (I believe it is similar to the DAFNE). Held by South Tyneside. It was really quite interesting but I feel refreshers are much needed throughout life but the demand on the course is quite high due to the multidisciplinary aspect.

What is your favorite snack ?

Be wary of sugary peanut butter like SunPat. It's not the 'proper' stuff. Try a one like Meridian or Whole Earth... if you want to make it even better for you find a one without palm oil too. xoxox

What to do after so long?

Hi BexBlu I see that this is your first post... well done! As I am sure you have already realised you are not the first nor the last person to ever struggle with this blinking thing and my post is just going to reinforce that. Having said that it does not mean that your problems are trivial by...

    Apps for Android

I recommend mysugr too. It's the best app I've found so far! It seems to have everything I need. Carbs&Cals is also very good for helping work out Carbs by sight but it's another one you have to purchase, it's recommended by my DNS though. xoxox

    Could this be Dawn Phenomenon?

Thanks guys!!! Just thinking about it further ... I tend to get to work and have breakfast there (3 hours after my alarm clock) and my bloods have usually increased to 9s 10s so I have been altering my basal rate (I'm on a pump) to manage the higher lev. I had also thought the higher bloods...

    Could this be Dawn Phenomenon?

Hello! I am after people's thoughts on this... I have found myself waking up on a morning, with my alarm, feeling awful. Splitting head, groggy and even more tired than when I went to bed. My bloods are at about 5mmol and the same when I wake up (about 7.5hrs) later if not slightly raised by 1...

27year old woman type 1 with retinopathy

Hi Sarah. I'm 29, T1 since 11 and I've also always struggled from the beginning. I've never had an hba1c within a safe range; I get so close then I seem to lose my way. And our similarities don't stop there... I was diagnosed with retinopathy in November and it was terrifying. I felt sick...

@novorapidboi26 I can get that far but my options are ... History Alert Type Auto Off Low Resv Warning None of which let me delete/cancel am existing alarm. Do you know where I go from there?

    Fasting Advice

My reasons would help wouldn't they! I have suffered low sugars everyday since starting excercise, even after four days of no excercise so I wanted to see if my basal rates have changed. xoxox
