    Addicted! ...and titrating down.

Well-I tested shortly after posting this last night and found I was over 300mg/dl.(18 mmol). Took my insulin and metformin and went to sleep. I had been sleep deprived for a few nights trying to get ahead of chaos here. I tested this morning and was at 107 mg/dl (5.9 mmol) before eating...

Do you mean your bolus units decreased or basal decreased, or both? So you decreased your insulin then you lost weight? Or did they both happen at the same time? Were there several adjustments? My experience over my 25 months of injecting insulin has been to titrate up at 2 to 3 units at a time...

    Addicted! ...and titrating down.

I was just awarded the trophy "Addicted!" for posting a lot. While I am always glad to get awards it made me stop and think. Why do I post so much-I think I m addicted to the support here. It just feels so good to exchange posts with people who are struggling with some of the same issues that I...

They make almond butter, hazelnut butter and other nut butters also. I think it's the fat and fiber and since you are trying to stabilize your weight I think it would be good for you to add some peanut butter or other nut butter.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I do not think those are false readings-antibiotics may raise your blood glucose but it is still really high.

Yes. We are realigning our budget to afford the dentist bill. Is dental covered under the UK healthcare system?-ours is not unless you are very poor and fall under medicaid in states that have expanded the program. I have a fee reduction plan but I will still have to pay $1960.00 plus...

183 lbs or 13 stone 1 lb is what the scale at the gym said this morning. That's 83 kg. I lost 5 lbs from last week and gained 3 from two weeks ago. I have 2 and 1/2 days more of antibiotics and I can chew soft food again on both sides. Hot foods are still a problem though. My bite has...
