Apologies if already posted but Tesco have joined in with Easter price wars. 3 Caulis for £1. I got 3 lovely big white ones. Now riced and in the freezer by Mr. Zig :-)

    Oh...

Sorry to read your news. Regarding your nerve pain - and I know we can't give medical advice - have you ever seen a chiropractor? You can usually have a free consult if they feel they can't help? If they can, it's great, sorted my sciatica out (mind you I DID end up with a bruised bottom on...

Type 2 Ok so how would you deal with this?

All Mr. Zig's family on his dad's side were diabetic. His grandad had black feet. His dad had to inject and test numerous times a day. MIL is amazed what I feed us on as 'they only had the option of bread and potatoes in those days' and probably didn't know any different anyway. His aunty...

Type 1 Can you buy low carb meals

This is my handy go to if I am too busy to cook. Lidl frozen fish with cheese sauce (mornay?) Get it out of the freezer, lift out the fish and sauce while frozen. Drain a tin of sliced mushroom really well (just take lid off and press down till no more water drains out) stick the mushrooms in...

    High meat content sausages?

I have just changed from Heck to Waitrose, very good indeed. Take care with butchers, they do not usually have ALL the ingredients listed. (our award winning ones don't)

Oh and there's always crème fraiche in the fridge too. Spoonful with chilli, curry or just on its own or on the side if I make him some pumpkin brownies.

    comfort eating

Mr. Zig is diet controlled. He has hummus with various things, sometimes dips a boiled egg into it and loves Broghies (one a day) We always have Babybels in the fridge and full fat Longly Farm cottage cheese. Little tuna pots with mayonnaise from Sainsburys, very handy. He also makes protein...

    Pink patch on leg (pic)

I had something like this on my face (not diabetic) and it was excema - not sure of spelling. But I did go to the doctor who gave me some cream to try for 2 weeks and it shifted it. You should go but in the meantime try some 1% hydrocortisone cream, you can get it over the counter.
