Feeling pretty knackered! I did a 2 and a half hour ride today. I wasn't on form, and felt surprisingly lacklustre. It was only when I got home I remembered that yesterday I was getting the beginnings of a cold. Suffice to say, I am now thoroughly bunged up with a banging headache! Never mind -...

It appears as though there are some pretty gaping holes in current healthcare, and it seems to be driven by the desire to tick boxes rather than a genuine desire to support. You're demonstrably self motivated but I fear for those who don't have your drive. It's such a shame your pool is...

Fat burning, carb burning, false hypo?

Great job @LittleGreyCat Unless you have recently lost a significant amount of weight, you would be very unlikely to hypo on your ride. I agree with @Andy12345 and I think you have just ended up hyperventilating - which would account for your symptoms. Just a word about your cycle technique...

Improve your HbA1c in 3 minutes

Awesome effort here!:D:D:D Just a quick note - @Dillinger, you've found that you can get raised BGs after having raised your heart rate. For anyone with Type 1 or for anyone else who injects/infuses insulin you can manage your BG back down. For anyone with T2 who gets this rise but doesn't...

    Hitt

Awesome! It's amazing how little insulin the body needs really, and according to what I've heard most type 1's actually retain a tiny amount of pancreas function - that could be helping you too. The body does need insulin (ideally in the form of a basal - even a tiny amount) to perform vital...

Respect to you for setting that up. I know only too well how much of a challenge it can be to get more than just voices of support for what you're trying to do. Hats off to you girl - that's an amazing achievement! I get the impression that your 'health trainers' are linked with the health...
