Hi Zand! I've been distracted with work, so I've not been as energetic as I should have been.:( Hope you've finally found where you left your head.;) Don't worry, I'll keep you company in detention when Jamrox tells us off!:p

TeamBG: Type 1 diabetes and exercise - what questions/issues do you have?

Thanks Adamski, Considering you were only diagnosed in April, you are doing a great job and have obviously already learnt a great deal in order to be able to run long distances. With reference to Hypos, is it an issue going too low only during the run (not quite keeping up with your carbing) or...

Glucose not a problem, but carbs are !

Hi there, This sounds most peculiar! Have you thought of making a detailed food diary with measured blood glucose readings that you could take to show your doctor? If you're not getting a blood glucose rise with glucose alone (and blood glucose levels remain within a normal range) then it...

    Newbie to obesity :(

Hi there ryanharvey, These are great suggestions from people here - changing your diet will do a lot to help you lose weight. Have you been tested for diabetes at all? Just wondering if your 'can't seem to stop eating' is diabetes, or pre-diabetes related. Great if it isn't, but it might be...

Had a busy week work wise, so haven't had too much time to do anything terribly vigorous, but I have done at least 40mins a day, even if it's walking the dogs twice a day. I have been out running this week, but I will try to do a proper workout this evening - do a Cindy Crawford whole body...

Phew! So that's just going to mean you're sore, but you're not in any danger. That's such a relief! It's just a case of building up slowly then - Lol, that and maybe buying an iron clad sports bra!;) Great to know you've got the all clear though - hopefully a few days of rest will settle things...

Yayyyyyy! I am so excited for you Pollylocks. I only got my road bike at Christmas, so riding Box Hill was quite a challenge for me - particularly as I have so far spent my time riding around country roads rather than anywhere near town centres. I am so glad you enjoyed it - you did way better...
