    Libre2 Alarms not working - a re-run of early 2023?

I contacted Abbott today to see if there was any update on the issues with alarms on iPhone. The person I spoke with said they were still working on the issue and that I should try the phone again to see if the problem is still there !!! She also kept stressing that that the alarms would only...

New to Omnipod Dash & seeking advice

Hi Jossie Not a problem. I had many questions when starting on the pump. Once you have delivered your bolus as far I know that is it. You can see the bolus being delivered when you put in your carbs and your blood glucose and it will beep once the bolus has been delivered. You would have to...

New to Omnipod Dash & seeking advice

Hi Bluemarine Josephine I have been the Omnipod Dash for nearly 3 years. I switched to the Omnipod Dash after being on a Medtronic pump for a short spell. The reason I changed was problems with set changes due to arthritis in my hands. The settings were simply transferred from one pump to...

    Libra

Hi Lainie71 I am sure they would accept the information whichever way. If it easier for you go for email. Can you give them all the information they need ? I would simply answer each of the queries one at a time. The questions are pedantic. Such as which arm you had the sensor on and when you...

    Libra

Hi Lainie71 I take you have emailed them and they have come back with all the information they need. As someone who has contacted Abbott on numerous occasions I would suggest phoning them. Have the information such as the sensor serial number and 3 examples of inaccurate readings in front of...

    Hospital/Gp

I was also being asked to go to both GP and hospital for diabetic checks. I also informed the surgery that as I was attending hospital appts I could not see the pint of doing both. I have two appts a year at the diabetic clinic locally one for the Pump clinic and one for the diabetic clinic. Gp...

    Omnipod dash

Hi NannyNet Thanks for that. I have found that the odd Libre 2 works well, but more have been completely off. I have taken to turning off the alarms overnight to get some sleep. I am hoping Dexcom 1 will be available on prescription soon. I have self funded Dexcom 1 and found much better than...

    Omnipod dash

Hi NannyNet You are not going on. This is something whIch is causing you a lot of distress. Good move to call Omnipod. I have had some pods which cause issues such as you describe. You probably need to call the Pump Team to discuss the way forward for you. Unfortunately they will probably...

    Omnipod dash

Hi NannyNet. I was really hoping that lowering your basal rate would have helped. Regarding every pod being different, as well as sometimes going higher after a pod change, when you consider how many things can affect your blood glucose levels it is probably no surprise that every pod is...

    GAD test results

Hi gemlou84 I was initially thought to have Type 2 and like yourself oral medication was not working for me. I was already on insulin when I had my GAD levels were checked. I was transferred onto basal / bolus regime and carb counting almost immediately. I think my first levels were over 2000...

    Omnipod dash

Morning NannyNet. I am sorry that you are having such a hard time with your Omnipod Dash. Did your team say why they want you to leave your settings as they are till Thursday ? The only reason I can think of is to allow any changes you have made to bed in. I have been told a few times not to...

    Omnipod dash

Morning Nannynet I did go through many changes in basal rate and carb ratio. I found between 2.00 - 4.00am was a time when I frequently went low. To manage that I found I had reduce my carb ratio for supper. I currently use 1 - 11 between 17.00 - 20.00. I seem to need more insulin during the...
