    JRW,please jump back on the band wagon and get your control back,I know it's easier said than done,but,if you do,you will go on to enjoy your life.It's much easier to live with good control than bad.Good luck to you and a very long life.

    Hi Moodie,congratulations on getting a pump,I started pumping last year after 53 years of injections and I went for the 640g and I have never looked back,I've been on the pump 1 year and not a days problems,and Medtronic customer service are brilliant to deal with.GOOD LUCK.

    I'm 67 and had T1 for over 54 years and there are many more older than me with T1,providing you look after the diabetes I can't see why you shouldn't achieve normal life expectancy,I certainly intend too.

    I'm into my 55th year of being T1,it was a nice surprise to receive my medal,thanks to my DSN and I carry on just the same and don't think to much about it,it's been part of my life for so long it all just becomes natural.

    I do set changes every 3 days and reservoirs every 3 days,I asked my 'Endo' why change reservoirs every 3 days and his reply was that insulin starts to deteriorate after 3 days when stored in plastic.
