    16 8 diet

I've found it beneficial, or even life changing. My first ever HBA1c back in April was 95 / 10.8% when I was diagnosed and was given a choice of either starting metformin that day or trying to exercise and diet control and coming back in 3 months for another blood test. Since that time I've gone...

How much does blood glucose rise after eating 10g of carbs

+1 for the disproportionate effect on carbs. I made the mistake of having 2 weetabix which should have been around 26g carbs. My blood sugar spiked much much higher than a full roast dinner I've eaten before, with more overall carb intake in it. Although it also depends on what you eat with...

Type 2s: What have you eaten today?

First time having white bread (garlic bread) and chicken soup since getting diagnosed just over 2 months ago.. Actually surprised I only spiked to around 9.5 and jumped into my evening cycling/weights for a workout to drop it down fast. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, lunch a few mixed nuts.

    Libre 2 Adhesive

I usually swap arms, mainly because I leave one on overnight to 'bed in' before the new sensor starts. I had some issues with it un-sticking after a few days. But I've found using patches to put over the Libre 2 really good. I got some free ones with a sensor from amazon as a sample and I've...

    Hello

Just a small update, I had my HBA1c back last week and it was 59. Pretty happy considering It started at 95 and It hasn't been 3 months. It actually took around a month to get to around 'normal' levels after I was diagnosed and started dieting anyway so I'm assuming it'll drop even further in...

    Hello

Thanks for the comments! when I spoke to the dietician we spoke about the weight loss will eventually slow down and get more difficult, the NHS program offers support, advice and monitoring from professionals over a 12 month period so I preferred that option rather than doing it all myself and...
