has anyone experienced issues with their sensor on a particular arm?

When I put mine on my left it seems to stay on fine mostly but whenever I put it on my right arm it comes off within almost a day or two. I am placing it on as close to the identical point of my arms as I can. I’m left handed so I assumed if I was doing anything differently it the worse outcome would be when I’m using my right hand to apply it to my left arm but it’s actually the opposite.

I am generally quite a hot person so I do sweat if at the gym, doing garden work etc. but not the top of my arms.

Has anyone experienced this and got any hits and tips to resolve it? I end up just continuously using my left arm for the sensor which isn’t ideal as it never gets a break.

Hi @G Muzz and welcome to the forum. Personally I always place my Libre on my L arm. I go to sleep on my right side and wake on my right side. When I put it on my right arm I was constantly getting ‘compression lows’. I make sure that I shift it around so I never overlap a new sensor where the old one was, works for me. I swim regularly so use a waterproof cover.

I usually swap arms, mainly because I leave one on overnight to 'bed in' before the new sensor starts. I had some issues with it un-sticking after a few days.

But I've found using patches to put over the Libre 2 really good. I got some free ones with a sensor from amazon as a sample and I've bought those ever since. They're called "Ultrahuman Skins CGM Cover" - I couldn't get on with the paster/plastic type patches as they wouldn't stick very long.

Thanks, I’ll give them a look! I see a lot of people with what I assume are additional adhesives over the top of the sensor but I’ve always struggled to find them, I’ll give these ones a look as I can’t use my right arm as without fail it will come off within a couple of days!

I have never had a need for covers to keep my sensors in place.
I find the biggest issue is finding a flat area of my arm that does not bend.

If you are finding that you are more likely to catch your sensor, then it is more to do with awareness (if it only goes on your right arm for a couple of days, you may be less use to it).
If you are finding it starts to peel off, it is more likely to be that the place you use on your right arm is unsuitable,
If you are right handed, you may flex your right arm more often and it may be more muscley making it harder to find an equivalent flat position to the one you use on the left.
