Freestyle libre 4 days on, oh how happy I am! Blucon or miaomiao?

So anyway I was offered a libre due to the excessive amount of times I test my glucose levels >20 times a day some days I reluctantly tried a libre, due to the things I've read on the forums, and negative advice from Dr Bernsteins book advising against them. Some people mentioned things like...

Type 1 Day 2 low carb, but still needing large levels of insulin? High BG levels

Yeah I totally understand that protein can still require insulin. But I was lead to believe this would drop significantly. I took around a 1/3 more insulin yesterday than a day when I ate over 130 grams of carbs, this is what I just don't understand. Yesterday I only ate around 20grams of...

Type 1 Day 2 low carb, but still needing large levels of insulin? High BG levels

I'm a type one diabetic. After my dinner I ended up going low so had to take some carbs to offset this. I did increase my protein intake yesterday. I'm really active and do a lot of high impact exercise, I find morning exercise can spike my BG levels a little. I've just read dr Bernstein's...

So I've Just Got My Prescription And Had A Change To Single Use Neon Verifine Needles!???!??!

Yup it had This locking mechanism that you can literally only use once on it and you have to push the needle down into your skin hard to reveal half of the needle. They are a lot more painful to use as well :(.

So I've Just Got My Prescription And Had A Change To Single Use Neon Verifine Needles!???!??!

Ok so I haven't had a chance to speak to my doctor yet... Anyways I know you're supposed to change your needle every use. But I don't I sometimes inject up to 10 times a day. I cannot even fathom having to change my pen needle once every time. I probably keep my needle on for 2-3 days. I've...

Eating protein ALWAYS raises my blood sugars in the night...

Hi Guys, So I've done a bit of research into the fact that protein can be converted into sugar if eating lower levels of Carbs. But no matter what I eat, If I eat a ample amount of protein (150g+) then I will often wake up with blood sugars 15+. I had 250g of chicken last night at 8pm. Went...
