    Sugar in Wine?

Maybe just poor reporting showing a bottle of red wine but what wines are they talking about? BBC News - Two glasses of wine enough to hit daily sugar limit https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-60390314

How many cups of coffee do you have per day?

If by "medium cup" you mean a normal tea cup size, then a third of a cup of double cream would be about 300kcal. which seems a lot for a drink.

Physiology of insulin release - know your pancreas

Thanks for that, lots of interesting information which will take me a long time to study properly. I did note in a quick scan that amino acids and fatty acids also result in an increase in Insulin but I haven't had time to find out why.

    Type 1.5 Jury service

As a reader doesn't take photographs or communicate with anyone outside the courtroom I would assume that is ok, however it would be wise to make its presence known to avoid any misunderstanding.

    Preparing for an OGTT

I thought it was the "gold standard" but too complex for normal insulin measurement. In human clinical trials, manual glucose clamps as well as the more modern method of automated glucose clamp find common use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glucose_clamp_technique

Ever count the carbs you ate pre-diagnosis in comparison to today

Without calculations and accurate records it's difficult to say, maybe @Ronancastled has enough information. In my case I gave up biscuits, cakes, desserts and pastry amongst other things and these contain fat as well as carbs, so I don't think I really eat much more fat and protein than I used...

Ever count the carbs you ate pre-diagnosis in comparison to today

People who lose weight when adopting a low carb diet often say "I eat more calories than I used to" as a proof that calories don't matter. Judging from some of the previous diets above, I find it difficult to believe there hasn't been a reduction in calories as well as carbs. If, for example...

Care sen metre error 4 message -

Edited to add: It is the tip of the strip you are dipping in the blood drop I suppose?

Care sen metre error 4 message -

Most strips I have used have a little window. As long as that window fills with blood when drawn up from the tip it should be enough. My TEE2+ meter only needs a drop the size of a pinhead.

Are others having their regular review cancelled?

You should have a diabetic retinopathy eye test, it is done by a special eye clinic or possibly an optician, not by a GP.

    Baffled..two differing diabetic retinopathy results

They examine the photos on a very large high resolution monitor. Tiny imperfections that might possibly be background retinopathy are visible, so some judgement by the operator is necessary. Bear in mind the statement in the letter that accompanies the result. "You do not need treatment at this...

    Baffled..two differing diabetic retinopathy results

I had yes, no, yes, no, no, no to background retinopathy in successive tests. The technician told me that the test is very sensitive and it comes down to the judgement of the person examining the photos in marginal cases.

Type 2 "The Obesity Code and or "The Diabetes Code"

It's not only about time. Even if you fast, what you eat, and how much you eat during the non fasting time is still important, probably more so.

    What pop can I drink?

I would have Diet Coke, with ice and a lemon slice to make it look better. Beware Fevertree tonic, the low sugar version isn't.
