    @AndBreathe I'm doing it to confirm that my one and only hba1c that confirmed a diabetes diagnosis is correct. I suspect it was correct but I just need to confirm it and move on.

    I know what you mean Andy but I'm hard wired to be 'naughty' sometimes! I am very disciplined to be fair with my low carb lifestyle but it seems that my readings allow me to have a blow out on rare occasions.

    Got my hba1c result today

    I was diagnosed with a reading of 57 or 7.4% in Oct 2013. In terms of exercise and diet I've been told that it's 90% diet and 10% exercise. Although it's crucial not to be sedentary. Try reducing carbs - you'll soon lose a stone and won't be more hungry than normal.

    If you are in serious need the NHS will be there for you - without question. That is where they excel. If you are healthy and controlled there is a lack of interest. That is kind of understandable but in the private sector they would be intrigued and they would make it their business to work...
