    Trouble losing weight

I have being doing this for about three weeks and the scale has barely moved. I decided to up my exercise massively to see if it would help so...yes I was expecting to see weight loss! I know I should stay off the scales and wish I hadn't got on this morning :-(

    Trouble losing weight

I am so disappointed. I have thrown myself into this wholeheartedly and yesterday started a new tough exercise regime too so was expecting great things on the scales this morning but...zilch. Not a single ounce. I feel slimmer and I know the thing about muscle weighing more than fat but could...

    How many grams of carbs?

Yes I have altered my goals on MFP already. I am now going for 15% so I'll see how I go on with that.

    How many grams of carbs?

That sounds very sensible actually Rom. How many do you average per day just out of interest?

    How many grams of carbs?

Having nothing to wear because I've lost weight is one problem I wouldn't mind having! I can't wait to get my meter so I can start to have a clue what's going on.

    How many grams of carbs?

Yes Boo I think I'll do what you originally suggested and stick at 20%/85g and hope for the best.

    How many grams of carbs?

Thanks Rachox-you seem to have cracked it so well done! I have slashed my carb intake (I was still eating sweet potatoes and nuts) but the weight isn't moving for me so I thought I'd better try Plan B. I think I might stick at 20%/85g then I have more room to manoeuvre if I'm still not losing.

    How many grams of carbs?

I was thinking of going really low for a couple of weeks to kick start my weight loss and then add more carbs as I go along (I have a meter ordered). Do you think that sounds OK or would I be better off starting high and going lower? I just want to see some movement on the scales!

    How many grams of carbs?

To make sure I'm doing everything properly I've put all my goals into Myfitnesspal.com. I allowed myself 20% carbs, 50% fat and 30% protein. However this equates to 85g of carbs which sounds like way too much! I know everyone is different but what would be a good amount for me? I am trying...

    Best way to lose weight?

I've had flax before so hopefully I'll be OK! What do you eat then? Just basic low carb with no frills?

    Best way to lose weight?

I think what I'm going to have to do is go hard-core low carb for a while, then by then I should have my meter. I know I DO have to watch my nut consumption-I have to rein myself in when eating them.

    Best way to lose weight?

I do normally drink alcohol but have more or less cut it out. I had one measly glass of wine last week and diluted it with water! If I go strict low carb I know I can lose weight but I get constipated. If I add sweet potatoes and nuts I'm OK but I don't lose. I walked over 23000 steps the other...

    Best way to lose weight?

No Adam. I just cut out what I read I had to and ate what was apparently allowed too but deep down I was thinking "sweet potatoes and nuts and seeds on low carb"? :-(

    Best way to lose weight?

OK here goes! Yesterday I had two eggs and two rashers of bacon, coffee with cream and some salted almonds, roast ham pease pudding and salad and later on I had a few more almonds...oh and loads of water. I did about ten thousand steps too.

    Best way to lose weight?

I've been eating low-carb (ish) for 2 weeks now: no grains, no white potatoes, no sugar etc but I've only lost a few pounds. I'm not a fast loser but coupled with the exercise I've been doing I would have normally lost a bit more. I'm still having sweet potatoes, nuts & seeds so obviously what...
