Newly(ish) diagnosed - should I be more worried than I am?

It sounds to me like you've got a good handle on things. I'd say don't worry and keep on doing what you are :).

    Flight delays

Interesting. I'm non-insulin T2 and know little about procuring the stuff, but I didn't know you could just pop into any random pharmacy to get some. Without a prescription?

    Totally unrelated to diabetes !!!

Could it be your gait or shoe fitting causing more rubbing on your right foot?

Exercise advice for a sedentary 60yo

Thanks @KK123, @moe53 and @Mbaker. I'd like to build up to running ideally. As I mentioned, I've been sedentary for a long time and not terribly fit although I'm not aware of any particular issues apart from T2. I think I'll request a general check-up from my GP before attempting anything...

    Contour testing kit

I have the Contour Next One. Does the job and seems to get favourable reviews. As @xfieldok said, the test strips are the main (ongoing) cost.

Exercise advice for a sedentary 60yo

Thank you for your replies @barrym and @Tipetoo (I always (mis)read your name as tippy-toe ). I do enjoy walking. There's a large park nearby that's very pleasant in decent weather. Not that we've seen much of that here in London recently!! I also walk into town for shopping. That's about...

Exercise advice for a sedentary 60yo

Hi everyone. I'm a 60yo male who's been pretty sedentary for many a long year. I've started taking long brisk walks since my T2 diagnosis as I feel that anything more strenuous would be dangerous at my age and fitness level. I keep meaning to speak to my GP about it but as I'm a relatively...

    Am I Diabetic

I think it would be wise. Those numbers are a tad high for a non-diabetic.

Lost weight and my snoring stopped

I'm a tightwad too as my app's also a freebie. I hope you can gather evidence to confront your OH :D

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

5.2 this morning. A tad higher than of late but I did go to a family thing at a restaurant last night. I *may* have overindulged just a little . I thoroughly enjoyed it but back on the crusade today :)

Lost weight and my snoring stopped

It's a thing called 'SnoreClock' (Android). It creates an audio recording of the night so you can hear your snores as well as a graphical display indicating the periods of snoring. I don't know if this specific app is available for the iPhone but there's bound to be an equivalent.

How can I reduce my glucose levels please?

Thank you @KK123. I believe I'm controlling my T2 quite well, although I accept that I'm still a newbie at this. I also accept that there are different approaches and that one size doesn't fit all. However, it seems that some members believe that their way is the only way and feel the need to...

Of course, if *she* snores then it can't tell if it's you or her :D

How can I reduce my glucose levels please?

I used to love my bread and I've found a way to enjoy it albeit in much reduced quantities. Cutting out so much from my previous diet has been traumatic at times and I want to be able to enjoy food from time to time without it being purely a sustenance necessity. My way may not be yours, but it...
