    Hi there I have been having the same issues recently with my iPhone 7 not reading my sensor like it used to. So many unsuccessful goes before it eventually reads it. I read about the recent update causing issues and have just re booted my phone and now it seems to be ok.

    Annual blood test and diabetes checks still happening?

    I had my consultation by telephone and it was the first week of lockdown. Luckily I managed to get my bloods done at the hospital as my GP surgery wouldn’t do it. I didn’t get my follow up letter and was told I wouldn’t get one this time. My HBa1C is steady at least. Not sure what will happen...

    Insulin= Weight Gain

    Having had type 1 for nearly 50 years and always battled with my weight all my life it was only until recently I was able to control it after having a freestyle Libre fitted. I think eating as little carbs as possible is the only way and try and have a couple of days a week when you eat only 600...

    Type 1 Shielding for diabetics

    I think the guidance has been a bit vague. I have had type1 for nearly 50 years and have good hba1c results and am not overweight. I have been happy at home and do not work and my husband has been doing the shopping but I have been to my local,garden centre and survived. Surely I am safe to...

    help !

    I have been using Libres for nearly 2 years now and agree that it is amazingly interesting at first to see the peaks and troughs we go through each day, I would suggest don’t over react. Get your basal right by having a couple of carb free days. Sometimes they read low when you are not as low as...

    The Accuracy Of Freestyle Libre

    Hi I have been using the Freestyle for about a year now and find it brilliant at seeing trends and it reads on average about 1-2 lower than blood which isn’t a lot in the grand scheme of things. Sometimes it says you are hypo at about 3 but my blood reads at about 4-4.5. Keep persevering and try...

    Libre delivery issues

    I waited just over 2 weeks for my last batch. Previously they came within 4-5 days. I think it is time for them to consider reducing the price if there is now higher demand. I know they are supposedly available on prescription but my GP tells me that they cannot be prescribed in my area in...

    Freestyle Libre...

    As a long term type 1 for 48 years the Freestyle Libre is a life changing discovery. I wish I could get them for free on prescription. I teach children and being able to scan discretely and check my levels are where they should be gives me the confidence I need to teach effectively.

    Keto and Dawn Phenomenon!

    As a long time type 1 , had it for 48 years, my experience of the dawn phenomenon is that as soon as you get up your body must release stores of glucose to help the getting up process. I can wake with a good result of about 6 but my levels rise even with a no carb breakfast, so a small dose of...
