    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

Late to the party this week. The good news is that I have just hit my target weight of 84 kg. 83.8 kg exactly now. So have lost 50 kg since starting in September. Currently back in the UK enjoying the beautiful weather. Targeting to walk 42 km (marathon) over a whole day. It is such a pleasure...

Another thing I disagree with Diane the queen of hypocrites on [emoji6]

    Diane Abbott & Diabetes Publicity

They are both female politicians with diabetes, although different types. The parallels are obvious. I cannot agree that diabetes of any type should be used to question someones capability in such a setting. It could set a dangerous precedent.

I don't see May using her T1 as an excuse. If you decide to enter politics, you become fair game for the press and the opposition. If you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen.

Listen to what your body is telling you. If you don't feel hungry and feel great then carry on.

Nothing wrong with a 4.7. Mid to high 4's are optimum. Anyway 5.1 for me today.

    Carb Counting

I weigh the majority of my food and use myfitnesspal app to determine carbs. Of course away from home it is not so easy. However, I am getting pretty good at estimating quantities by eye now. When i first started my T2 journey I quickly realised that I had been hugely over eating. This together...

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

I think I will carry on with LCHF and plenty of exercise and try cutting back on IF. I do 5/2 fasting at the moment. Will try 6/1 and see where that leads, with a view to stopping fasting completely.

Not sure what you mean. Can you explain?

    Weekly weigh in - Fridays

84.2 kg today, down 1 kg on the week. Managed to do some longer fasting periods, which have really helped. Now very close to my target weight. Not sure how to proceed once I have reached my target weight given how ingrained LCHF, IF & long walks have become an integral part of my life.

A rather disappointing 5.9 this morning. Not enough exercise yesterday. Now I know what I need to do. Just need to make sure I do it!

Low carb rice , pasta etc and konjac

Too many carbs for me at 16g per 100g.

4.5 this morning after a good fasting day. Bulletproof coffee does the job for me[emoji16]

Fat to eat it or not

I eat quite a bit of fat. I really enjoy all dairy except milk. I eat far more fried breakfasts since I was diagnosed. I have just discovered ghee - love it in bulletproof coffee. All my health indicators are hugely improved and I just feel so much better. Thank you fat![emoji41]

It is normal for your BG to increase when you exercise. Your liver is just provding fuel to your muscles.
