It seems to me that all the diabetes official groups are still pushing carbohydrate as a good thing for diabetics! Please can we get someone on our side to keep our blood sugar normal. How much carbohydrate is ACTUALLY needed?

My blood glucose has been high for a few weeks. It is very steady when I do a fasting basal test but sitting between 8 and 9.5mmol/L (144 and 171mg/dl). Any help?
I have changed cannula/ insulin and am taking more than normal bolus insulin. Not feeling ill.
I upgraded my computer and the Carelink connection no longer works. Medtronic say that they are waiting for approval to release a new version of the programme that will work with the upgrade but for the time being I can't download my test results to Carelink. BEWARE before upgrades!
