    Rise in Blood sugar

    Hi type 2 diabetic.. i take readings for my blood sugar a couple of times a week just to check.. up until a few days ago i’d been averaging about 9.0 mmol after meals.. a couple of days ago it read 18.1 .. received a message from Contour that it was a critical reading after 4 hours it went down...

    Hba1c Latest

    feeling a wee bit pleased with myself.. hba1c was 52 in March and as of Monday it’s 41!! i must be doing something right

    just seen DN for first time

    saw DN for first time today.. as my HBA1c is 53mmol will be diet controlled .. no medication necessary unless HBA1c reaches 58... also no blood monitor testing necessary as again just diet controlled.. feet tested.. all good.. just keep an eye on dry skin and keep it moisturised..eat plenty...

    how long should it take for PN to make contact after diabetes diagnosis?

    i was diagnosed as newly diabetic yesterday after Hba1c bloodtests gave results of 54mmol and 53mmol.. receptionist said gp has left message with PN to contact me.. how long would it normally take for practice nurse to get in touch? and should i be concerned if no contact is forthcoming?
