    CGM inaccurate- beware Abbott Freestyle

    Hi here’s a funny thing. I blagged a couple of Abbott Freestyle CGMs. They predicted an HbA1c of 42. That coincided with my T2 review at the GP- my HbA1c is 47. So I can’t trust that CGM’s prediction.

    Fast, or graze?

    I'd be glad to hear everyone's opinion about whether it's better to avoid sugar spikes by eating little and often, or to fast for long periods. When I fast (more or less) for 24 hours, the next day I'm pretty hungry and I eat more than usual, so I get spikes. Any advice from you lovely people...

    HB1Ac going up not down

    I'm 59, BMI 22, and got a diagnosis of pre diabetes about 18months ago. with Hb1Ac of 47. Since then I've cut down massively on carbs, cut out sugar and lost nearly a stone in weight. Also joined a pre-diabetes group as recommended by my GP. Four months later ( year ago) my Hb1Ac was 45. But...
