I am aware of what complications diabetes can cause...but does it usually damage the eyes first or cause neuropathy first etc? Or can it differ from person to person?

I'm not even sure my nerve pain is a result of diabetes due to length of time I've been diagnosed and consistent good control. However, curious who else has neuropathy, what body part it effects and how long it took to develop as a result of diabetes?

Hi everyone. I just had my latest Hba1c result back which was 49 (6.6). My consultants are always very pleased with my numbers but after reading the average blood sugar results for this - I feel it could be much better. What does everyone else aim for? I realise this will be individual.

You can cleary see where I ate dinner today and how long it is taking for my blood sugar to go back down! Only had the libre for 3 days but noticing this with almost every meal. Is it simply a case of not taking enough insulin?
