I've been started Empagliflozin today. Do I carry on with my gliclazide as well? I'm sure the consultant told me to, but the diabetes nurse is saying no?
I find on this forum at times it can be a bit doom and gloom. When i was diagnosed, it spurred me on to be smarter about lifestyle choices ect. Anyone else find it a kick up the **** to sort yourselves out? I think i did.
It seems these days after a few drinks I struggle to stay awake, or just plain pass out. This never used to be a problem, only noticed it a few months before being diagnosed as type 2. Could this be related to my diabetes?

I was diagnosed with type two diabetes 4 weeks ago. It's all quite a confusing ride so far! Have been told so any things, and the internet makes it worse! I asked my dn about monitoring my blood at home, but was told not too. I am on metformin 500mg x 3 per day. Is this a temporary thing...
