I have recently been switched from the Dexcom G6 to G7. I am being pressed to start with the G7 (which isn't a problem), BUT I have a few G6 sensors, three G6 transmitters and a G6 receiver that will be surplus. The hospital don't want them back and told me to dispose of in the usual way.

Hi everyone.
Now that the Roche DiaPort has been discontinued, does anyone know if there are any implantable insulin pumps available for use in the UK?
Or..... are there any products out there that can infuse insulin without going via subcut?
Hi everybody.
I have a question about Dexcom and the Tandem t:slim X2 pump with Fiasp insulin.
I had a Diaport which has been removed as it got infected and is now obsolete so my consultant switched me to a closed loop with the Tandem pump and Dexcom G6.
My diabetes is very labile as I don’t...
Hi everyone.
About 18 months ago I was diagnosed with gastroparesis – I was having loads of hypos after food as it was not being digested, vomiting (usually in the small hours), feeling full – all the usual symptoms. Interestingly, I was diagnosed by my endo without a stomach emptying study...
I have no hypo awareness and lose consciousness about once a month due to hypoglycaemia.
My wife has problems using the Glucagon kit due to arthritis so ends up trying to pour GlucoJuice down my throat which is an obvious choking hazard. As ambulances can take several hours to arrive in...
Hi.
I am about to change from the Dexcom G4 to the G6. I use an Accu-Chec Combo pump.
Currently I check my blood sugar with the pump handset , tell it my carbs & it suggests a bolus.
When I use the G6 and don't prick my fingers before meals to check my blood sugar how do I figure out my...
Hi.
I currently self-fund my Dexcom G4. Due to diabetic problems my sight is failing and I would like a talking CGM. I can get my phone to speak what is on the screen but would need to use the G5 transmitter to do this which (According to reviews) seems to be a bit unreliable with signal...
When my blood sugar falls or rises very quickly, my G4 sometimes stops working for at least two and usually four or five hours and displays the ??? or a timer symbol. Does this happen to anyone else?
The chart below is typical of what happens (If I do any exercise at all my BM falls very...
My Dexcom G4 CGM sensors used to last three to four weeks. The last four I have used have struggled to last two weeks.
Has anyone else noticed this? Why might it be happening?
I currently use an Accu-Chek Combo and was worried that when I had to change they would make me take the Insight (I think the Insight is a huge step backwards from the Combo).
I mentioned this to the person at Roche that took my repeat order for cannulas etc. and they said that the Combo will...
I have been referred to the Oxford Transplant Team and had a long chat with the surgeon and a professor of diabetes the other day. It seems that I could have a pancreas transplant providing I pass the cardiac tests etc. I have also met a DiaPort doctor and it looks like I may have this option...
Animas has just told me that I can no longer buy my Dexcom G4 sensors from them as I do not use an Animas pump (I use an Accu-Chek combo).
This means my cost for four sensors has just gone up from £186 to £257.50 as I will have to go back to Advanced Therapeutics.
I wonder if anyone has any...
I was browsing the interweb and came across this article by the American Association of Diabetes Educators – It is just about the best summary of pump use I have ever read!
