    Endogenous Insulin and T2

I haven't posted here in over 5 years but had to take a look after I saw that posted on Twitter and the penny dropped that the Gliclazide I had been taking was potentially harming my sensitivity to insulin ‍♂️

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Before bed was 6.2. I didn't test after dinner as I was out. I seem to get those not-to-good feelings at around 5.5 and below. Going to test again in half an hour which will be two hours after lunch.

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

8.3 this morning. Oops. Did some weights and tested before and after lunch. 5.8 before. 5.4 an hour after and feeling slightly (false) hypo. I seem to be rubbish in the morning but fine the rest of the day. And I obviously need to work out how to sort the fasting BG and need to maybe have a wee...

    Spreadsheet needed

I use Google Docs (think they've just renamed it to Sheets or something) which is online so you can access your documents anywhere you are online - there's an app for phones too. Very useful. I set up a quick spreadsheet in two minutes. It was just a few column headers.

Okay, had turkey and avocado for dinner. Might have a wee bit of blue cheese too. No pizza. Feeling a bit better now so might test again shortly to see if there's any difference. Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for replying. I'm tempted to go and eat a pizza for dinner and see what happens. It's a bit frustrating when the levels look much better yet you still feel the same.

Diagnosed as Type 2 in May

I'm feeling a bit rubbish just now. Tested two hours after lunch and my BG was 5.8. I had a few blueberries and some sliced meats to see if that picks me up a bit as I was hungry too. Feeling even more headachey, clammy and anxious now so tested and got 6.5. Are these figures not within the...

Diagnosed as Type 2 in May

Thanks @daisy1 I'll digest all that after my run and second breakfast (!). Oddly I was told by my nurse not to buy a monitor. Something to do with the NHS not paying for strips maybe. Being the inquisitive sort I bought one anyway...

Type 2's: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning?

Morning. First post in this thread from me. 6.6 this morning. I was 7.2 a few mornings ago when I last did a fasting test. 8.3 last night two hours after dinner. Needs to be lower, huh?

Diagnosed as Type 2 in May

No, just on Gliclizide (the nurse said as I was skinny that I wouldn't need Metformin just now) but I stopped taking that yesterday as I was thinking that my diet and exercise plus that were pushing me too low. Just up and done fasting test. 6.6 this morning. Going out for a run after breakfast.
