I gave birth to my little boy on 12/12/08 and afterwards they did a fasting blood test. My levels all came back as normal :D Im so pleased it *seems* the diabetes has gone. I have to have another GTT test in 5 weeks time then I have to have them every year.

I test 5-6 times a day and change my lancet after every test. Although now I am running low on lancets and cant get to the docs to get more so Ive only been changing it twice a day :lol:

Im currently on Glibmenamide (or howver you spell it) for my gestational diabetes but after sspeaking with my specialist midwife today - she feels its not agreeing with me. I have to go and see her on Thursday where I will be put on insulin. I didnt want this - I was hoping just diet change...

Thank you all :) I change my lancet everytime I test. So Im using 5 lancets a day. I couldnt bare to use the same one twice... dont ask why lol

To be honest - my husbands being a nob about the whole thing. I had to beg him to come home from work and take me to the hospital as I was so worried and the MW said I should go and be seen.

Im currently testing my BG 5-6 times a day as recommended for me. Trouble is, Ive been told to do this from my finger tips. My fingers are now getting mighty sore!! Can I test with blood from anywhere else??!!! Im using a one touch easy ultra machine. Thanks :D
