Freestyle Libre 2 to become real time continuous glucose monitor in UK from mid July 2023

My Libre 2 doesn't scan anymore, I get the three buzzers when applying the new sensor when it decides to, never straight away but then doesn't scan at all but still gives readings so not sure if this is meant to happen?

First long haul flight with Type 1 Diabetes - questions

Hi Rachel I've done more than a few long haul flights and found that if you don't do your long lasting insulin on the flight it won't do you too much harm so whatever time you arrive in NZ just do your long acting in NZ time zone, if your BG goes a bit high in the plane use your short acting to...

What will happen is a type 1 child eats no carbs at all?

    I forgot my insulin

I've forgotten to bring insulin when I'm out a few times so I wouldn't worry too much about missing a dose

    I forgot my insulin

I personally wouldn't give extra insulin to compensate for the dose you've missed, check your glucose levels when you've got your Levimer and go from there.

Type 1: What are your HbA1c test results?

I've been on Libre 2 for just under a year and am very happy with the results, the finger pricking results will never match exactly with the monitor that has always signaled when hi or low, I do the odd finger prick but glad I'm not having to stick my fingers every day, sorry it's not working...

    Type 2 Hyperglycaemia

Don't beat yourselves up about occasionally high BG readings that's what insulins for, as long as you respect it.
