I am sure I have posted before about this, but this is taking over my life. My feet are so painful, especially at night. It is mostly the balls of my feet, and my big toes. I take great care of my feet, and my diabetes specialist says that they are in good condition. But I have tried...

    Gel nails

I am asking because diabetics have so many issues that relate to a lack of circulation and getting infections much easier than others. Sorry, but I would have thought that was obvious.

    Gel nails

This is such a superficial question with so many people here suffering major problems, but I wanted to ask - I have Type 2 diabetes, Victoza and insulin controlled. Can I have gel nails attached to my own nails, or is this discouraged in diabetics? Thank you.

    Foot pain - help!

Hi all. I take really good care of my feet and was praised by a podiatrist recently. However, I am always in pain. The balls of my feet feel always like I have just done a 10 mile hike, and my toes hurt so much. If I don't soak them before bed and massage them, they wake me up in the night...

    Hypo symptoms

Hi all. I have finally managed to get my BG levels down to between 5 and 10 nearly all the time. However, because they are now in this range, occasionally I go too low and have a hypo. I get hypos around once a week. Recently the symptoms have changed - I used to experience the same pattern...

I just wanted to check before I go to have this done, but there is no conflict in having the flu jab if you inject insulin?

    Alcohol and high BG levels

*laughing* at Fergus!!! Oh, so someone sent you the photo of me with the traffic cone then!!!!? Well, the diet Tonic I bought myself from the supermarket, and I only ever drink very dry white wine, so I don't know what has caused the spikes. I write down everything I drink and eat too, and...

    Alcohol and high BG levels

Thank you, but peecee, calories are not the same as carbs - alcohol may have a lot of calories, but almost no carbs. So it may put on weight, but it won't affect BG levels. As I said, it's not low BG levels I am worried about, but high ones.

    Alcohol and high BG levels

I started low-carbing a few weeks ago, and at the same time gave up alcohol. My BG levels reduced dramatically, and for the first time I found myself within normal levels. Last weekend I started drinking alcohol again - gin and low calorie tonic, and white wine, and since then my BG levels...
